{"id":18584,"date":"2012-02-07T10:08:34","date_gmt":"2012-02-07T09:08:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.proterrasancta.org\/?p=18584"},"modified":"2021-09-09T17:18:18","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T15:18:18","slug":"jerusalem-conclusion-of-the-work-program-of-the-commissaries","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/preprod.proterrasancta.org\/en\/jerusalem-conclusion-of-the-work-program-of-the-commissaries\/","title":{"rendered":"Jerusalem: conclusion of the work program of the Commissaries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"3rd International Conference of the Commissaries of the Holy Land\" src=\"https:\/\/www.proterrasancta.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/foto-di-gruppo_piccola-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"3rd International Conference of the Commissaries of the Holy Land\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>On Saturday 4 February the <strong>3rd International Congress of the Commissaries of the Holy Land<\/strong> concluded with the reading of the Vade Mecum \u2013 the final document establishing guidelines for the future \u2013 and with a solemn Mass presided by the Minister General of the Franciscan Order, Jos\u00e9 Rodr\u00edguez Carballo.<\/p>\n<p>The Congress lasted for a week and saw approximately ninety Commissaries \u2013 coming from more than forty countries \u2013 meet together to discuss three principal themes\u00a0: the economic situation of the Custody of the Holy Land and the contribution of the Commissaries, the new communication strategies of the Custody, and the pastoral and practical aspects of leading pilgrimages. The Congress produced, as a final document, a <em><strong>Vademecum<\/strong><\/em> setting forth the undertakings of the parties involved\u00a0: the Custody of the Holy Land and the Commissariats.<\/p>\n<p>An interview of <strong>Father Giorgio Vigna<\/strong>, Secretary General of the Congress and head of the Custodial Office for the Coordination of the Commissariats, with <strong>Vatican Radio<\/strong> can be found <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecumene.radiovaticana.org\/it1\/articolo.asp?c=560112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.
