Celebrating his Life and Work&#8220;<\/em>\u00a0an ihn erinnern. Dieses Buch ist am 2. November von dem American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) von Amman in Jordanien herausgegeben worden, in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Franziskanischen Institut am Berg Nebo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An der Buchvorstellung haben unter anderem auch Carla Benelli und Osama Hamdan, beide Mitarbeiter von ATS pro Terra Sancta, sowie Rosario Pierri, stellvertretend f\u00fcr das Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, teilgenommen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Gedenkschrift, zusammengestellt von <strong>Claudine Dauphin<\/strong> und <strong>Basema Hamarneh<\/strong>, sammelt eine Reihe von Beitr\u00e4gen zu den verschiedenen Ausgrabungsst\u00e4tten von Pater Piccirillo,\u00a0angefangen von der byzantinischen bis hin zur islamischen Arch\u00e4ologie, von Mosaiken bis zur Inschriftenkunde, von der Restaurierung bis ins Museum, von der Geschichte bis zur biblischen Geographie; das alles geschrieben in den vier Sprachen, in denen er sich t\u00e4glich verst\u00e4ndigte: Italienisch, Franz\u00f6sisch, Englisch und Arabisch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pater Michele hat sein Leben dem Studium des Heiligen Landes gewidmet:<\/strong> exzellenter Arch\u00e4ologe <em>&#8222;las Arch\u00e4ologie, w\u00e4hrend er in den H\u00e4nden das Evangelium hielt, dem er sein Leben verschrieb\u201c <\/em>(Osservatore Romano, 20.10.2011). Die Gedenkschrift m\u00f6chte an die vielen Aktivit\u00e4ten w\u00e4hrend seines Apostolats erinnern, aber auch daran, wie sehr es ihn ver\u00e4ndert hat. Unzweifelhaft hat das Ableben von Pater Michele Piccirillo eine gro\u00dfe Leere und einen ebenso gro\u00dfen Verlust mit sich gebracht, aber dass, was er s\u00e4te wird nun von den Freunden und Kollegen weiter getragen. Um nur einige Beispiele zu nennen: die Aktivit\u00e4ten in Jordanien, unter ihnen auch die Ausgrabungsst\u00e4tten in Madaba und am Berg Nebo sowie die Restaurierung und Schutz des Gedenksteines von Mose; die Konservierungsarbeiten im Dorf von Sebastia, in der N\u00e4he der Stadt Nabulus; die Einleitung und die handwerkliche Entwicklung des Mosaiks in Jericho und des Permutts in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ATS pro Terra Santa wird weiterhin in Gedenken an Pater Michele die vielen Projekte, die er geplant oder angefangen hatte, f\u00f6rdern; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.proterrasancta.org\/sebasti-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">zum Beispiel die Konservierungsarbeiten und Versch\u00f6nerung des Dorfes Sabastiya<\/a> sowie die Ausbildung von Mosaiklegern und Restauratoren in Jericho und Ostjerusalem.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">***<\/p>\n<p>[nggallery id=107]<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Drei Jahre nach dem Ableben von Pater Michele Piccirillo wollen Freunde und Mitarbeiter mit dem Buch &#8222;In Memoriam: Fr Michele Piccirillo, ofm (1944-2008).
